In December 2017, Georgia Southern University had its Level VI accreditation renewed under president Dr. Jaimie Hebert for another 10 years by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). This regional approval ensures Federal Title-IV eligibility from the U.S. Department of Education for all 57 bachelor’s, 32 master’s, and 12 doctoral degrees, including Computer Science.
