The University of Hawaii at Manoa, also referred to as the University of Hawaii, U.H. Manoa, or simply U.H., is the flagship campus of the University of Hawaii system. The University of Hawaii at Manoa is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) from the western mainland United States. In addition, UH Manoa is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). University of Hawaii at Manoa Application Requirements
Each University of Hawaii campus uses a System Application Form for students seeking an undergraduate degree. However, applications are sent to and processed by individual campuses. Freshman admission requirements include a minimum cumulative 2.8 grade point average (GPA), a minimum 510 SAT score, and/or a minimum 22 ACT score. UH Manoa considers all application materials when making an admissions decision. Students are required to submit a completed UH System Admission Application, a $70 nonrefundable application fee, official high school transcripts, and standardized test scores.
Those seeking a graduate degree must submit a completed Graduate Applications Application to the Graduate Division Student Services department as well as a nonrefundable $100 application fee, and one transcript for each post-secondary institution attended, including any exchange or study abroad programs, summer programs, and extension and non-degree work programs. In addition, some students may be required to submit proof of sufficient funding, a Residency Declaration form, and standardized exam scores.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition at the University of Hawaii at Manoa is based on the number of credit hours for which a student enrolls. Students taking 12 or more credits are considered full-time. Those pursuing an undergraduate computer science degree can expect to pay $5,544 per semester as a resident and $16,560 as a nonresident. Full-time graduate degrees cost $7,800 per semester for residents and $18,540 for nonresidents.
All students seeking a degree from UH Manoa should consider applying for financial aid, even if they are unsure as to whether they qualify. The UHM Financial Aid Services strives to make it possible for degree-seeking students to attend the school regardless of their economic circumstances.
